Adams Hotel @ Lavina MT
I first came upon this building early in the morning. The building is vacant as was the entire town in the early morning hours. Stopping to take a photo, seemed a bit eerie. The following day, I returned about mid-day and did stop for a couple of photos. Read a posting on the door and later a bit on the web (see link below)
Montana’s Big Sky
What is striking with any large body of water that you come upon here in Montana, is its blue color. The vastness of this countryside with its “big sky” gives a blue reflection (of the sky) that I have never seen before. This photos do not do it justice, but they are nonetheless a good reflection of it 😉

RHG 2o19 Yellowstone Update
Made Billings MT in four days. Since I have time, my thoughts were to travel to Glacier National Park. Seemed like a great goal. Logged into the park’s website today to find they are still plowing the “Going to the Sun” road (connects East and West entrances). Thought that would be fine, I’d get to explore the Eastern half. Called for a hotel reservation (an hour ago) to find out that there was an avalanche on the East road and you can only drive in 7 miles. At this point, what the heck – I have come this far, I am sure the ride to Glacier will be incredible.
I have been getting on the road by 5oo AM lately, tomorrow I am not! Not sure what the day will bring – but welcome the free-lance aspect of this Glacier adventure.
Should have opportunities now to shoot some landscape photos. Go Pro videos will not be forthcoming until I get back home and have some time to muddle through them and do the edits.
And, I did clean the bugs off my bike. The beauty of the 5oo AM ride is the solitude. The down side is the bugs, its like driving in snow!
