Day 23 – We left St. George and then….

We left St. George (UT)  early morning to avoid the afternoon heat.      Our first adventure of the day was to ride to Kolob Reservoir.   Unfortunately,   Craig’s motorcycle started to overheat as we climbed the first inclines of the road.    It was decided that he would turn back and head to St. George to regroup and arrange transportation of his motorcycle to Las Vegas (NV) for service.   We would continue on to Zion National Park and our hotel in Jacob’s Lake.     For now,  we will stay on course and await updates from Craig regarding the repair of his motorcycle.     To early to call what is next for the Mother Road Tour 2022.

Day 21 – Hot Temps on the Valley of Fire

First day of Utah National Parks tour with Cheryl and #LivingOffTheSlab. In route to St. George, Utah was toured through the amazing Vally of Fire State Park in Nevada. Awesome ride…. regardless of the temperatures. Ps. I-15 sucks…. two construction areas backed traffic up miles. First time ever, but due to the excessive heat we rode the break-down lanes. Temps to hot for humans and motorcycles.

Day 13 – Gateway to the Plains

Day 13 found us leaving Texas and entering New Mexico.    Along with that transition came the sun …. finally, we shook the rain and cloudy weather that had been upon us for days.  Our first stop in New Mexico would be the Pecos National Historical Park.

Pecos is a cultural crossroads through which hunters and gatherers, traders, conquerors and explorers, immigrants, soldiers, ranchers and tourists passed. Walk the trails and imagine Pecos through the centuries. Explore sites where cultural demonstrations and traditional practices continue today – a living legacy of the people who passed this way. Welcome to Pecos, where past is present. [Source:  National Park Service].

Will be leaving tomorrow for Arizona…. today will be spent visiting Santa Fe, NW on “foot” !!
