Today we had a down day and decided to visit the Meow Wolf

Day 13 found us leaving Texas and entering New Mexico.    Along with that transition came the sun …. finally, we shook the rain and cloudy weather that had been upon us for days.  Our first stop in New Mexico would be the Pecos National Historical Park.

Pecos is a cultural crossroads through which hunters and gatherers, traders, conquerors and explorers, immigrants, soldiers, ranchers and tourists passed. Walk the trails and imagine Pecos through the centuries. Explore sites where cultural demonstrations and traditional practices continue today – a living legacy of the people who passed this way. Will be leaving tomorrow for Arizona…. today will be spent visiting Santa Fe, NW on “foot” !!

Day 5 …. Was scheduled to be a “local” adventure day.   Winds and rain crept in overnight.    Did find an interesting “facility management” issue at the Best Western . . .

Day 4 . . . . brought us to the Old Joliet Prison (Illinois).   We spent a couple of hours walking the grounds and buildings that were open to the public.    Like all other vacated / abandoned instructions the visual story is impactful – yet there is a presence from this facility that is bigger than its physical and historical footprint.

Two of my retired motor unit rides. The Cody Bike is a 1994 oem police sidecar rig. Bought from the original Chief that owned it. Cody was his K9 partner. It is my never sell bike !!!
